| Mohamad Yousuf |
Mohamad Yousuf, 59, was born in the Dalgate area of Srinagar, Kashmir. He attended Government Schools in Drugjan, Sonawar, and Batwara, all in Srinagar, and completed his college studies at the Sri Pratap College, Srinagar. Following his graduation, he briefly attended the University of Kashmir. Along with his studies Yousuf graduated different adventure sports training programs at different Institutes of the country. He is a degree holder in Physical Education and has done diploma- in-Coaching (Swimming) at National Institute of Sports, Patiala Yousuf has intensively explored the Indian and Nepal Himalayas and has climbed several Himalayan peaks. Many firsts are at his credit. In 1980, he was offered job as Aquatics and Adventure Sports Coach by the Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, Kashmir University. He has trained thousands of boys and girls to different water, aero and snow based sports in his 30 year long teaching career. Many of them have participated in national and international championships and some got involved in tourist trade in India and abroad. Yousuf is also a social activist. He holds many honorary key posts in following voluntary organizations :

In his leisure time, Yousuf engages in social work, gardening and writing. He has contributed number of articles on Tourism, Environment, Sports and Social issues to different newspapers and magazines. He has honor of editing eight Souvenirs brought out by different Government and Non Government Organizations on the occasions of national and international sporting events. To reach out more people globally he has started a Blog under the name and style “Vision-Kashmir”.
